First Word

I was pretty sure The Lynn said her first word yesterday morning. She confirmed it this morning. She followed in her sisters footsteps. They all 3 said the same word as their first word. You know I did carry these girls for a combined total of 27 months, nursed each one of them, got up at all hours of the night with each of them, rocked them, sang to them, and I stay at home with them all day. So, you think one of them would at least have given me the satisfaction of saying "Mamma" first. Nope, they ALL said DADA first! I am joking (a little). I think it is very sweet that they all gave their Dada such a special gift...their first word. I don't remember when or how The Belle and The May said Dada, but I did write it down in their baby book that Dada was their first word. So, here is how it happened with The Lynn:
Yesterday morning I put her in the bed with me while Husband was getting ready for work. He walked out of the room and she sat up to look out the door and said "DadaDadaDada". I thought yea right it is just coincidental. So, this morning same thing happened. She was laying in the bed and when he walked in the room she sat up and said Dada. He walked out and she crawled to the end of the bed so she could look out the door and started yelling "DADADADADA" at him. How sweet is that? I can not believe my baby is beginning to talk. She is growing up too fast!

Update on Life

Things have been so crazy around here. I have so many things going on right now. I really don't even know where to start. So I am just going to jump in.

At The Lynn's 6 month check up the pediatrician was concerned with the growth of her head. We had to come back in 6 weeks to get her shots so, she wanted to measure and chart her head growth at that appt. We did that and I really had no concerns. The Lynn is hitting all her milestones (crawling, cutting teeth, babbling, smiling, etc,) so I was not worried. The following Monday morning the pediatrician called and said I needed to bring her in ASAP. Of course, I was completely worried at this point. So, I rushed and got everyone ready and drove in a tropical wave to the office. Luckily, my pediatrician is married to a pediatric neurologist and over the weekend she had shown him The Lynn's chart. He felt like we needed to do an MRI due to the rapid growth of her head. The pediatricain felt like we should pass on the MRI because we would have to sedate her. So, we had an ultrasound on Wednesday. Thank God everything was normal and she just had a huge growth spurt. I now have a new respect for those parents who have gone through this and the outcome is not normal. I thank Jesus everyday that my children are healthy. You have no idea what kind of stress and worry you go through until you actually are in that moment.

I had a Dr. appt with a surgeon to determine if I have a hernia in my abdomen. The surgeon determined that I could possibly have a slight one. His major concern was the fact that I have pregnancy diastasis (my stomach muscles are seperated and they are flat as pancakes). He gave me 2 options. Option 1: He could perform the surgery where he would cut me from the top of my abdomen all the way down to the bottom. He would then pull my stomach muscles together and would fix the hernia (and some other issues I have been having). This option would leave me with no belly button, 2 flaps of skin, and a scar from the top to the bottom of my abdomen. Insurance would cover this option. Option 2: I could go to a plastic surgeon who would do the same procedure except he would cut me hip bone to hip bone and leave me with a nice smooth belly (belly button included). Insurance will not cover this option because it is considered cosmetic. I have real issues with this but that's another post for another time. So, off to the plastic surgeon I went. There is no way we can afford it now and I wouldn't be able to lift anything heavier than a gallon of milk for 6 weeks. Yea right ...... 3 kids 4 and under without lifting for 6 weeks.......impossible. So, I am just going to deal with the pain until we win the lottery (not only to pay for the surgery but to hire a full time Nanny for 6 weeks).

The Belle has a urinary tract infection. We are waiting to hear back from the Dr. to see if her urine culture grew anything. I know lovely information...but this is what I am living right now. The Belle and I battle each morning over her taking the antibiotic. Lots of tears and pleading on both our parts.

I am planning my 10 year reunion. The reunion is in one month. I have to pay all kinds of deposits, fees, and sur charges and we have sold 2 tickets. Seriously, if you are reading this and you plan on going to your reunion BUY YOUR TICKETS! Your poor class president is stressing out over it. Give the girl a break; buy the tickets.

So, this stuff plus the daily grind of life you know laundry, feedings, wiping behinds, cleaning up, dishes, etc. is what has been keeping me from blogging. I did start a WONDERFUL bible study today. I am so excited about it! I learned more today in this class than I think I have ever learned in church. I am not kidding when I say the teacher is a genius and I left there feeling like a complete bible idiot. But, this is a good thing! I am super excited about next weeks class....I have lots of homework to do before then. Oh yea one more thing that has kept me from blogging: my new "crack"berry! I can't seem to get off of it.

Pardon The Interruption...

Life has really pushed alot of things to the "back burner" here lately. Posting on this blog is one of those things. Hopefully, I can give a more detailed post in the near future. But, while life keeps rolling on The Lord keeps showing me this verse:

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything in prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Phillipians 4: 6-7

3 hours

Think of all the things you can do in 3 hours. Here are a few things I can do in 3 hours:
Go to Sunday School and Church
Cut the entire yard
Go out to eat and to a movie with Husband
Get almost to Tallahassee by car
Clean my entire house and laundry

3 hours: The amount of sleep I got last night.

Solo

Husband went back to work today. The seccond he walked out the door the bottom fell out. As I am typing this The May is on my lap crying because she wants some toy that The Belle took from her. The Belle is whining please hold me, I need you to hold me, I want you to hold me. I give it about 30 seconds before one of them wakes up The Lynn. Our trip to Target should be fun.

Too Fast

All 3 girls are growing so fast. I wish I had time to write down everything they are doing. But, here are a few things:

The Lynn is cutting 2 bottom teeth. I don't know what it is about babies with a big "gummy" smile but I love it. It makes me sad that she is getting teeth, becasue that just means she is going to look like a big girl soon. She is trying so hard to crawl. She has the cutest little scoot, if she could figure out how to move her arms she would get going. I know its just a matter of time and she will be off. She has really come into her own little personality.

The May was promoted last Sunday to the 3 and 4 yr. old Sunday School class. She was so excited to get to go with The Belle to a big girl class. She has started riding a big girl bike with training wheels. It is so strange to see her riding it. She just looks so little to be riding such a big bike. She may be little but her vocabulary is big. I sometimes forget that I am talking to an almost 3 year old.

The Belle can swim on her own. Her and Margo rode waves on their boogie boards during beach week. I was on edge the entire time she was in the water. But, she held her own. She doesn't look like a little girl to me anymore. She looks like a kid. It is so hard for me to fathom that I have a kid. I mean its one thing to have a baby, its even ok that I have 3, but for me to have a kid...sheesh. She is beginning to read. Ok so its words like: it, is, the, duck, and hen, but she is reading them. She gets so excited when she sounds out the word and then recognizes what it is. The first time she read the word "the" outloud she was beaming from ear to ear and well I was holding back tears. The two of us went to the store the other day and it was so wonderful to just walk out the door with out packing any snacks, diapers, wipes, or cups. She can actually walk down the aisle and I don't have to worry about her walking away or pulling things off the shelf. It seems just like yesterday I brought her home from the hospital. Man, time really does go by fast!

Ants

We are having a serious ant problem. Husband is spraying the house as I am typing this. The ants are in the strangest places. We first noticed them in the van. This morning I went to get The Lynn a diaper out of the diaper bag (which is located on top of the dryer) and I am not kidding when I say there was thousands of ants covering the bag. I have never seen anything like it before. As I threw the bag out the door I was attacked by at least 10 of them. The crazy thing is they aren't going after food. There was a cheerio on the floor completely untouched. What a nice welcome home gift...ants.

Beach Week

Beach week was a blast! I will sum up the week by quoting The Belle as we were packing to come home. "You know this house gave us some good times." I am already counting down until next year.
