Harvest Fun!

The Belle and The May had a harvest program/festival at their school last Saturday. All of the kids dressed as early Americans. The program was super cute! The May's class said The Pledge of Allegiance and sang My Country Tis of Thee. The Belle's class recited Romans 13:1-6 (and she even had a small speaking part with 2 other classmates). Grandmama was sweet enough to make The Lynn a colonial girl costume so she wouldn't feel left out.

Each family was asked to create a game booth for the festival. The kids had a great time going from booth to booth (they got candy at each one). I think their favorite game was the doughnut eating contest. The only rule was you could not use your hands. It was hilarious!

The Lynn didn't want to have anything to do with the doughnut eating contest, but she did enjoy getting her face painted!

There was also a cook off between all the moms. There was an award given for the best crock pot dish and for the best dessert. Yours truly can apparently cook a pretty good apple crisp cheesecake! The award: a pie cutter!
