This is a tag from Onefabulousmom. I L.O.V.E. Summer! Seriously, it is my favorite time of year. What could be better than wearing your bathing suit all day long and not having to put on make-up (because your face is so tan). So, here are my top five things I am loving about this Summer:
1. These are my new shoes that I got last weekend. They dry in no time! They feel like I am wearing bedroom slippers.
2. I am reading "If it's not one thing it's your Mother" by Anita Renfroe. This book is seriously funny. You always need a good book at the beach.
3. The BEACH! There is nothing better than the white sand at our beach. I love how it shuffles under your feet. The crystal clear water can be blinding. Just floating in the ocean while the waves crash...it is GREAT!
4. The Fourth Of July! The Fourth is my second favorite holiday (next to Christmas). There is just something that makes me all emotional about The Fourth. I love all the red, white, and blue decorations, fireworks, cute Fourth clothes for the girls and cookouts.
5. Homemade Ice Cream. This one is going to be tough for me this year (since I am dieting). We went to Uncle John and Aunt Emily's for The Fourth a couple of years ago and I think we ate 5 gallons of homemade ice cream while we were there. I will get some this Summer (in moderation).
Now I am suppose to tag 10 people to do this also. Everyone send me a comment with your top 5 Summer Favorites!

A Little Bummed
Husband got a phone call from his Principal yesterday. He wanted to know if Husband would be interested in teaching Summer School Monday - Thursday from 7:30 - 11:30. After alot of pouting (on my part) we decided it would probably be best. It is for the month of June and we do need the extra money. At least we can go to the beach as soon as Husband gets home. I know that I am going to blink and this summer is going to be over. Oh well, at least we will have a little heavier wallet.

Weight"Less" Wednesday: -1.4
I am relieved to see this #! I really thought I would be up for today's weigh in. I indulged alot this weekend. Friday we went to Olive Garden (yummy). Saturday I had Uncle John's key lime pie (very yummy!). Sunday I had a huge chocolate ice cream cone (also, very yummy). I snacked on mini nutter butters and mini oreos. I was also out of my routine and did not journal a thing I ate. I did run 2 miles on Sunday morning but that was it. So, yesterday I was back on track. I ate at my regular times, ate my healthy snacks, journaled, drank lots of water, ran, and worked out. Obviously from the weight loss it worked. I have to say it is a huge relief to know that I can indulge a little and still maintain my weight. I just have to keep in mind that this is a lifestyle change. Gone are the days of eating whatever I want when I want. But, at least I know I can get back on track when I get off and its ok. So, now I have 4 more pounds to reach my original goal. Next week, I will let you know about my new goals!

We're Back
We are back from Uncle John and Aunt Emily's. We had lots of fun! We went to the beach and the girls had a blast playing with Uncle John in the water. I had a blast getting some sun and shopping! I will get some pictures posted later.....for now I have to get TONS of laundry washed/dried/folded/and put away.

It's Here..FINALLY!
Today is Husbands last day of work. I get him home with me for 2 whole months (except for the 2 weeks he has workshops)! You know how when you were a kid and the night before the last day of school you couldnt sleep because you were so excited? Yea that was me last night. We are celebrating this monumental event by dropping the girls off with Nana and going to eat at Olive Garden. We have a plan in place. We only get one small salad, one breadstick, and we are splitting an entree. I mean why in the world should we eat that much food and ruin all this weight progress? I will be eating little to nothing today, which is fine because I am busy doing laundry, packing for the weekend, feeding people, wiping people, and cleaning up the messes the girls make. Happy Summer!

Yellow Box
Hey Cupcake!
The Lynn was 5 months old yesterday. So, I got out the camera to take some pictures of her. As I was loading the pictures I noticed that I have all 3 girls pictures in the same cupcake pajamas (they glow in the dark). These pajamas were actually hand me downs but they are so cute. It is amazing to me how much The Belle and The Lynn look alike. Husband didn't know who was who in the picture of The Belle.

Weight"Less" Wednesday: -2.0
I am so glad to see a loss again. I worked really hard on Monday. I ran 3 miles, 2 sets of stadiums, up/downs, more stadiums, more running, and weights. Then last night I did my "Biggest Loser Cardio" DVD (yea, that kicked my behind). I knew it was going to be hard fitting in workouts this week. The girls have swim lessons on Tuesday/Thursday, Wednesday is Church, and Friday is our date night. I am going to try to run before Church today but time is always crunched in the afternoons. I wanted to lose as much weight as possible before Friday; since that is my goal date. I am very excited that I am only 5 pounds away from my goal! It really feels GREAT!

Too Many Questions
The Belle has been asking questions here lately that I don't want to even think about. Here are a few:
"Mom, will I go to school when I am 5?"
"Mom, can I be married too?"
"Mom, can I be a mommy when I turn 10?"
Husband also joined in on the questioning this past Sunday. As we are running around in a mad dash to get everyone dressed, fed, and out the door in time for Sunday School he looks at me and asks:
"What are we going to do when they are 15, 13, and 11?"
I think I actually threw up in my mouth a little when he asked me that.

T-Minus....
4 more days and SCHOOLS OUT FOR SUMMER! I am literally about to jump out of my skin with excitement. Life is just so much easier when Husband is home with us. Plus, we actually have some plans for the summer. We are going to kick off the summer at Uncle John and Aunt Emily's new house at the beach this weekend. I can not wait! We really need a change of scenery. Hopefully this week will go by quickly. For whatever reason, I have not posted about the girls swim lessons. They started swim lessons last Tuesday. The Belle is in a class with Margo and I still can not believe all they have accomplished in just 2 lessons. She is jumping off the side of the pool and going under water, floating on her back, and blowing bubbles under water. The May is in a parent assisted class with Jude. Husband and Uncle Josh do the class with the 2 of them. It is so cute to see them playing and learning swimming basics. Husband will not be able to make it to swim this Thursday so I will get to do the class with The May. I finally charged my camera yesterday so I will try to get some pictures of them "swimming" posted.

Losing It
Dear Lynn,
You know here lately you have been my source of sanity. Those sisters of yours have really been working on my nerves. The May has turned into a D-Rama Queen. She whines about EVERYTHING! The Belle has been a little bossy which antagonizes The May which just turns into a huge melt down. You really have been the one to hold it all together for me. There is something about that cute smile of yours with those big dimples that just reminds me to chill out. But, if you wake up again at 1:00am and at 4:30am and then again at 6:50am I may lose it and well your Daddy he is ready to put you outside with the cat (he put him outside and never let him back in). So, do me a favor go back to your normal sleeping schedule (8:00pm until 5:00am). I am really on your side and fighting for you but with the lack of sleep I am going on I don't know how much I can do for you.
Kiss Kiss, Your Momma

Happy Birthday
Today is Husband's 29th birthday. I could tell you how he is the most patient, generous, selfless, loving, supportive, man I know but it would take you days to read this. Not only is he a wonderful Husband and Daddy but he is one of the most Godly men I know. He is my best friend and I am his. I love him more than words could ever say. Happy Birthday!

Weight"Less" Wednesday: -0.0
Well, I knew this # was going to be expected. Since I had such a big # last week I knew this week wouldn't be so good. Without going into much detail....I am also having some health complications. I am going to the Dr. today so hopefully I will get it all straightened out. Today makes day # 10 of the exact same weight for me. I am still doing everything that has gotten me this far: dieting, journaling, water, running, lifting weights, etc. I am not going to call it a plateau yet but if that scale doesn't budge soon I may. It is frustrating to see the same # on the scale everyday but I know that it will pass; it is just a matter of time. May 22nd (my goal date to be at my goal weight) is quickly approaching and it doesn't look like I will make it. If I can be 5 pounds within that goal I will be very happy. I have to keep in mind that I have had a few set backs including falling while running stadiums (which kept me from running for 6 weeks), not having any exercise equipment and having to work with the weather, and these health issues. 7 pounds seems so far away but I know I will do it!

I Didn't Kill Over
Well people; I ran 3 miles yesterday. I didn't kill over, pass out, or even throw up. Yay Me! I was planning on just running 2.5 miles but as I approached the 2.5 mark I thought "I can do this and I am not going to die". So, with my very supportive husband by my side we did it. I wish we would have timed ourselves. I think it took us between 30-35 minutes. So, now I am going to run a 5K on June 20th. Uncle John, Aunt Emily, Uncle Josh, and Husband are going to run also. We are all collaboratively coming up with a race schedule for the remainder of the year. Can you believe it? I am going to run races. Aunt Emily and Uncle John want to run a half marathon by the end of the year. We will see if I can take on that task. For now, I will be working on improving my 5K time.

Weight"Less" Wednesday: -2.4
UHWOOHOO! I am super excited with this number. I started running 2 miles again this week and it showed in my weight. Only 7 more pounds to go! I have 17 days to lose 7 pounds to meet my goal. That means I am going to have to seriously up my workouts. I also have a new goal. Uncle John and Aunt Emily have inspired me to run a 5K. I have to be very honest.....the thought of running 3.1 miles scares me. I know those of you who have actually ran 1/2 marathons are thinking a 5K is nothing. I guess I have to start somewhere. I am looking into some 5K's in the area. Who would have thought.....just 5 months ago and 59 pounds I would be even considering running a 5K. SHEESH!

SHHHH..Don't Tell
The girls don't know it yet, but they are going to this Saturday....
Nana won tickets on the radio. I haven't told the girls yet because I know they will ask me EVERY. FIVE. MINUTES. if it is time to go. I may wait to tell them until we are on our way there. But then again probably not, I am really dying inside to tell them. Neither one of them has a clue what "Cars" is and they have only seen "Lion King" maybe once. But, seriously Ariel and Tinkerbell...oh my they are going to LOVE IT!

Spoiled
The weather has been so nice here lately. I think the girls got to play outside for at least 10 days straight. We woke up this morning to thunder. The girls were very upset to hear that we have severe thunderstorms in store for us today (they know this because the public announcement came on during Sesame Street). I have to admit I am a little disappointed also. Now that we have to stay inside that means I have to do laundry and clean. At least we had a good weekend. Relay for Life was a blast. The girls danced and played so hard their hair was literally dripping sweat. Shopping with Nana was lots of fun at the outlets. So much fun that Husband wants to go this Friday (yes, my husband loves to shop). We are planning on going to the beach tomorrow; that is if the weather cooperates.

Busy Girls
Yesterday we went to the beach with Milissa and Devin. The girls had a BLAST and crashed at 8:00 last night. We are going to spend today outside in The Belle's swimming pool that Margo and Jude gave her for her birthday. We have a busy weekend ahead of us. Tonight we are going to Relay for Life. The girls always have a great time at Relay. They love running around the field and dancing to the music. I guarantee they will sleep well tonight. The Belle has gym tomorrow morning (The May begins gym on May 30th and she is so excited) and then we are off to the outlet malls with Nana. Sunday is always busy with church and lunch at the grandparents house. Only 3 more weeks and Husband is off for the summer.....woohoo! Then things will really get busy!
